These threaded rods are made of A4 stainless steel, a steel oxide with 18% chromium and 8% zinc content, with an additional 2-3% of molybdenum. The molybdenum provides additional resistance, granting the ’A4’ grade to this type of stainless steel with stainless steel threaded rods.

A4 is often referred to as ’marine grade’ stainless steel as it has the highest level of corrosion resistance, making it suitable for underwater (marine) installations and applications.
